Mile of Lights Shines Again
Feb 20, 2024
December’s Mile of Lights Fun Run/Walk continued its record-breaking streak with over 800 people registered for the fifth annual event hosted by Winfield Recreation Commission and William Newton Hospital.
Both the rec center and hospital noted Mile of Lights is the largest event either organization has hosted. As a thank you, event organizers donated a portion of the proceeds back to the Winfield Isle of Lights totaling $2,690. The contribution will directly support the annual Christmas light display tradition.
Held the second Sunday in December, the 2024 event is slated for Dec. 8.
