Free Community-wide CPR Training
In conjunction with American Heart Month, the third annual free community-wide CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification event will be hosted by William Newton Hospital, with support from Cowley College Allied Health, USD 465/USD470 nursing services, Udall Fire, and Winfield Fire/EMS. Participants will receive adult/infant CPR training, AED education, and NARCAN® training during each session.
William Newton Hospital offers a monthly CPR class which typically costs $30 for the general public. However, through this outreach effort, community partners will be offering CPR certification at no cost.
Four sessions will be offered to the general public and one session for healthcare providers only. New this year – we’ve added an evening session on Thursday, February 13 from 6-9pm!
This event is made possible by Beats Go On, William Newton Healthcare Foundation's Community Wellness Initiative.
Certifications will be held through the American Heart Association. Each session is limited to 48 participants, ages 16 and up.
