Board-certified family nurse practitioner Hope Guerrero, APRN, joined the William Newton Hillside Family Medicine team in Winfield in November, as well as the William Newton Fast Track care team within the hospital’s emergency department. She is a Kansas transplant with a background in emergency trauma as a nurse in Bakersfield, California. Guerrero’s 15 years of experience also includes pediatric care, credentialed school nurse, ER charge nurse, trauma coordinator, and house supervisor. Most recently, she was part of the ER and Cypress Cardiology teams at Kansas Medical Center in Andover. 

She holds a Master of Science Degree from United States University in San Diego. Guerrero is married with three children and 2 granddaughters. She enjoys traveling, reading, and attending sporting events.
