AUDIOLOGY NO LONGER OFFERED AT WNH
As of August 28, 2023, Audiology services are no longer offered at William Newton Hospital. This was an extremely difficult decision, but unfortunately, it was one that had to be made. Since Mark Shaver accepted a position to be closer to home in July, the hospital, after exhausting all viable resources, has been unsuccessful in recruiting his replacement. If you wish to continue seeing Mark, you can contact him at Hearing Life in Derby, KS at 316-789-9200. In addition, you may contact William Newton Audiology at 620-222-6256 with questions up to September 8, 2023. After this date, please call Chris Graham at 620-221-2300 ext. 1106 with questions. A letter will be sent to patients most affected by this closure. Our goal is to help our patients to continue accessing audiology services.

Children and teenagers seldom complain about the symptoms of hearing loss, and adults may lose their hearing so gradually that they do not realize it is happening. The first step in the treatment of a hearing problem is a hearing evaluation by an audiologist. An audiologist is a professional who specializes in evaluating and treating people with hearing loss. Audiologists have extensive training and the skills required to evaluate the hearing of adults, infants, and children of all ages.
